We've been running a field test on the new boot-time defrag engine for the past 6 or so weeks. We apologize for any delay on releasing this, but it is due to major improvements of the code and making sure that it is flawless. The end result will be an extremely stable and reliable solution that will solve the problems you need it to; now and in the future. Some of the planned advancements in this free update are defragmentation of essentially all "metadata" (via the defrag APIs) and the ability to defragment other files which are not supported under the APIs (such as the paging file) no matter the condition on the volume. This update will add a significant amount of functionality. So, all my blathering aside, assuming all goes well with testing we should have this update for current Diskeeper 2008 users in the coming month.
